Lifted up

And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. John 12:32

Reflections.

Your fellow brother wishes to share reflections on those Words of The Lord Jesus Christ.

1) Jesus is ALREADY lifted up from the earth.

Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.- John 2:19

Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance.- John 20

Now Mary stood outside the tomb crying.
As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus’ body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot. They asked her, “Woman, why are you crying?”“They have taken my Lord away,” she said, “and I don’t know where they have put him.” At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus. He asked her, “Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?” Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.” Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”).-John 20:11

You can quote many other versus from the scriptures that show Jesus was lifted up from the earth.

“Lifted up from the earth” could be explained in different ways.

1.1. Literal meaning:

Jesus was indeed physically raised from the dead with a new body. Because he is lifted up physically with a body which is not physical (but which can enter into the physical universe without being seen and without causing the physical universe shake or disintegrate into pieces), yes, no, we cannot see Him in the physical world with our physical eyes.

1.2. Poetic meaning:

Building upon the literal meaning, but surpassing it, Jesus is actually lifted up from the fallen state of the bodily existence. In other words, Jesus is just next to (but Not in) the old body (of ours) since He doesn’t have an old body any more, for God has raised Him from the dead, as the scriptures teach us. I am not writing anything new, I am just reflecting my understanding of the Great Grand Glorious Resurrection of Jesus Christ The Son of God and how we are related to His Resurrection.
For we know in this body is embodied the body within which our new body is embodied.

Glory to God.

2) will draw all men unto me.

Jesus says that He by His Spirit encourages men and women to believe in the Gospel.

And the Gospel which is the Good News is this –in just a few words:

a) There is God who is above all, Sovereign, Alpha and Omega. The Creator, The Father. Everything and everyone belongs to Him.

b) This Almighty God has special affection for human beings because He created them or brought them into existence in His Likeness. God knows that man is weak and feeble and utterly rubbish useless thing without Him. With Him man is beautiful and fearfully wonderful.

c) Man declared independence from God- because God made Him able to do so, if he wishes to do so. Man naively thought it would be better and that he would make it without God. That free will declaration of independence/rejecting the recommendation of God/eating the fruit God advised man not to- is called sin, and it was grievous in the sight of Glorious God, and because the Glory of God is eternal, and since neither the devil nor man can affect His Glory, man was expelled out of paradise. Man was hopeless, so it seemed, until the Sovereign Omni-potent God introduced His Salvation Plan – (which He knew it any way – Foreknowledge)

d) God made a decision –still difficult to comprehend. God decided to become a human being. So, if many people find it (genuinely) difficult to accept how Jesus Christ The Son of God is actually God Himself being extremely Humble (Love) beyond imaginations, I wouldn’t judge, but pray for them and be gentle with them. You never know what God can do and will do. I always have this insight that The Lord God who made my dark matter shine, can do so to any dark matter, if willing. He is famous in converting dark matter into a bright living stars revolving round The Living Sun, The Living Son.

e) God became man not to do some sort of theatre or orchestrate a tragic scene for us human beings to observe and feel sorry.

f) This is now the Gospel Message: “For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance : that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more…” 1 Corinthians 15:3-

Summary:

As believers, as  followers of Jesus (not just fans who follow the trend of the time) but persons who desire to be authentic disciples of The Lord Jesus Christ, “being lifted up” from the earth could mean different things from different dimensions, now, when it comes to us.

a)Literally being lifted up:

This happens when a person is literally lifted up, but it takes place in different ways, when for example a person is taken to the Dimension where The Lord is,  or when the rapture comes, or when a person is taken to The Lord as in a vision or revelations…by the Discretion of the Lord, this could be for a time or for Good, for man neither dictates nor knows the will of the Lord in most cases and many things, unless The Lord reveals it by His discretion.

The Lord is Glorious and His ways are Marvellous as well as Beautiful.

b) Poetic lifting:

Building upon what The Lord has done on Resurrection Day, you grow day by day to Christ likeness,

I want the Risen Christ to lift me up from:

1)the flesh and its corruption
2)the world and its corruption
3)the influence of the evil

So this is about being transformed by the renewal of our minds. “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2

As you can see we all Christians are Christians but with a different level of proximity to the Lord.

A person who came to Christ the other day cannot have the same proximity as a believer who had lived with The Lord all his life.
Salvation is by Grace and by Faith, but growth takes time and some effort/interest from our side.

I am simply surprised:

The House of The Lord is like a typical earthly family: There is God The Father, Our Father In Christ Jesus, The Owner/Maker/Builder of the heavenly House/Palace/Mansion/Heaven/Tabernacle/Church/Body…. (it all depends on a given eternal moment, for example, if we are watching or participating in an heavenly parade, we are in Heaven’s Central Square, if we are in another eternal moment of Worshiping and Praising the Lord God, we can be no where else but in the Heavenly Tabernacle, if we are watching The Revision of Time, then we are in the Heavenly Cinema…  so, there is indeed the Heavenly Family of God, and there are the forefathers, there are the prophets, there are the apostles and the church fathers…and now here we are.

And we are here not to eat enjera bewot and make money (no problem doing those things, really, I like enjera bewot too) but we are here to take up with us as many people as possible/willing.

My personal conclusion:

I give eternal Glory to The Lord Jesus Christ The Son of God Who made this Impossible thing possible. I say Glory to God. And to show that I value my salvation above all things, I praise The Lord and  I preach the gospel or help those who do so.

Nothing else matters, ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters.

Praise to The Lord and Glory to God.
Amen.
